but they did have a lot of players behind the ball when we were attacking. as its been said before though, its just my opinion.

Isn't that what any good defensive unit is sposed to do? :confused2:

well depends on your point of view, they had about 9/10 players behind the ball at times

Well my point of view is that they showed some attacking intent. Yet still peeps are talking about away teams "parking the bus". Why? Fulham played good, intelligent football and caused us problems in our final third. It wasn't like watching the Sunderland game.
We simply can't score whether teams play 'negative' or counterattacking football.
That's our problem not theirs.

Fulham didn't play defensively.

We were just shit. Which is what we are now - shit.

People need to get used to this, because we're living off reputation earned a couple of years ago.

More on this later.

Manure and the Chavs Villa and Everton face teams with 10 men behind the ball. I've never heard SAF, O'neill, Moyes etc ever mention it. It's what teams at the bottom do when facing teams at the top. Same as last season and the one before and the one to come.

What an absolutely dreadful game. For the most part our lads didn't seem in the slightest bit interested.
Clichy has been one of my favourite players over the past few seasons but he was absolutely pants, he didn't chase and harry the way he usually does, and if we had a better option I'd have taken him off. Diaby had one or two flashes but as usual he can't discern between who is on his team and who is not, but he passes them the ball anyway.
Our defense got opened up numerous times and if it wasn't for terrible finishing we would have been punished. On that note, whoever says Fulham parked the bus must have been watching a different match to me.
There were some bright spots, van Persie looked dangerous any time he was in the box, Nasri made some nice runs with and without the ball, and although it is obvious he's not fully match fit I liked what I saw from Arshavin. I thought Eboue was great when he came on, and the way Sagna is playing Wenger really needs to think about making a switch (even if its short term).

On the whole I wish I had spent that time peeling off my skin and pouring salt on the wounds, it would probably have been less painful.
