You have to think, Fulham had so many attacks themselves, in the past the moment the opposition got the ball, Flamini would be all over them in an instant, we would win back the ball, and keep up the pressure, leaving them no time to recover...which is why we would score so many late goals....that just isn't there now.....

Well done Fulham. One of the few teams to come to The Grove and play their game. No-one can say they parked the bus. They actually threatened us a few times and counterattacked well.

parlour - 'arsenal will have off days some times' so 10 draws and 5 loses this season is a 'few' off days!!

Also I'll say it again....Vela isn't a left midfielder....one good performance against Cardiff doesn't change that

He is more of a winger than just about anyone in the team.

He only started playing regularly as a striker when he came to us, before that he played on the left for 3 seasons.

Thats not a f***ing good excuse.

i think all we can hope for now is
1) No one goes in summer
2) We can keep our core group fit.
3) get adequte experiance and well skilled players in the positions we need to
4) Really challenge enxt year and strike this one from memory.

I know he played on the left while on loan in Spain, and by all accounts did well, but whenever I've seen him play that position, I'm not convinced at all that he's comfortable there. His tendency is to drift into the middle, and that puts him on his weaker right foot...as a result he mostly plays a sideways pass into centre midfield and there ends the attack.

Just my opinion, I'll be happy to be proved wrong.....we've lacked serious threat down the left for a long while...

Number 1 is priority.

I doubt Cesc will leave, but as for some others i am not so sure.

its true fulham did attack when they had the ball,
but they did have a lot of players behind the ball when we were attacking. as its been said before though, its just my opinion.
