At the end of the day, it could have been worse, it wasn't!
At the end of the day we are through anyway. It could have been worse, it wasn't!
We might face a big name next round. But winning the group would have meant facing a big name too. It could have been worse, it wasn't!
Ok, a poor performance, a makeshift team, we should have done better, the players know it, we know it, but it could have been worse. It wasn't!
Chalk this one up as "it didn't really matter" and move on. I've said it before, whether we meet Barca et al next round or the round after, we still have to play them. If we don't beat them, we don't win it! It's as simple as that.
We also have to remember that there is no such thing as an easy draw in this competition, so whoever we get next round means a more difficult opponent next time.
End of the day, we are there, Middlesex never even got into it.
Move on, let's concentrate on Middlesbrough.
