Yeah, f***ing get in there!

Means I ain't gotta f**k about at t**t o'clock in the morning, to get up there.

Leaving my gaff with a couple of mates, (one's Villa too.....) at about 9-9:30 or so.

Be in a bar by about 12:30 for a good couple of hours drinking, then head over the ground for a big old wank over them.

Anyone else going up?

Think we're drinking in The Pins.... although the Villa lad did ask about The Gooner.

Yeah I know there's a mag called it, I get it when I go up there.

Apparently a pub too, will try and find out what road.

Might not be called that anymore?

Does he mean The Gunners on the corner of Blackstock Road and Elwood Street near Highbury? That's the one I mostly used many a year ago....

Not sure since the move to Ashburton Grove, but it used to be rammed solid on match days. Fairly quiet at most other times though. I never had any problems in there, apart from the time it took to get served if you didn't park yourself near the bar! Usually a good craic, plenty of singing and atmosphere, and never any bother That was sorted outside the place.....

f**k it then, have a head over that way too.

Never usually have time for a proper, proper drink up there.

This Saturday, however, shall be f***ing plenty of time.

Road beers too I reckon.

Just so you know, if Clichy scores - i'm on the f***ing pitch, i'm gonna sprint with all my ripping pace, catch that little whippet, and high-five him.

I am presuming that you know the area, but in case you don't, that particular pub is close to the old East Stand, and just at the far end of Elwood Street about half way down on the left of the stand (from Gillespie Road or Arsenal Tube)

If you do go, can you grab a couple of pictures of progression at Highbury, and post them in the pictures section at some point. I'd love to see how far the destruction of the old gall has come on. Last time I was there, there was literally just the exterior walls of the East and West stands, and rubble everywhere else. (I'm sure I posted the pictures here somewhere or other)
