See what I mean SL, how can you offer a striker an open goal and then go and save the shot when he thought he'd score???
Shouldn't be allowed on a football field. Unsportsmanlike behaviour, I say. :rofll:

Technically that's cheating.
Cardable offence I think.

That save was brilliant, as good as the Vela goal.

I am really pleased about the result, i am even more pleased seeing 0 by conceded than 3 in scored, great performance all around.

I have to say this, right or wrong.. as I have been thinking it all night.

But isn't our first team supposed to show the youngsters/reserves how it should be?

Sorry, but tonight the Arsenal First team got OWNED by the youngsters....not for the first time either..

Perhaps they should listen to what the young ones feel about the club and how much it means for them to play.

Just pisses me off the performance and effort we have seen tonight and then you compare it to the last month or so of our First team (bar the victory!).

Quite simply a Breathtaking performance from our youth team tonight. 3-0 doesnt do it justice if we took more chances it could have been 6/8-0 we were THAT good. Glimpses of the future for me were Wilshere, Ramsey, Gibbs and Fabianski all four of them could slot into the first team this season with apperances from the bench.

Jay Simpson looked quality again my mate is a Millwall fan and said he was outstanding on loan to them so it was nice to see him developing back with us. Also if LRL is watching it was a sound performance from Alex Song aswell......lol

As the Tag says THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT, THE FUTURE IS RED AND WHITE.......

I know Tina you can't help thinking that these boys would've killed off Stoke and Hull in a matter of minutes.
It's an easy assumption to make though. Remember that these reserve players play about two games a month and they play in a league where the taking part matters more than the result so when they get to a noisy Emirates they just feed off the buzz and the importance of a must-win cup game.

If they had to play three times a week like the first team players they wouldn't look so sparky I reckon.
You can't deny that they close down the opposition far quicker than the first team does. They seem to have unlimited stamina.

Exactly. That'll look like the bargain of the decade when he's 23, which by the way is in 6 years time!
