I agree, even for a 17 year old, if he had been playing like this at a Prem club or in Spain before we bought him, you could probably name a price upwards of £10 million, the boy is just that good.

Super piece of business.

An excellent result and a first-class performance. Vela really looked like the business, just contrast his performance with Bendtner's hesitant display last Saturday. No comparison.

It's an easy assumption to make though. Remember that these reserve players play about two games a month and they play in a league where the taking part matters more than the result so when they get to a noisy Emirates they just feed off the buzz and the importance of a must-win cup game.

If they had to play three times a week like the first team players they wouldn't look so sparky I reckon.
You can't deny that they close down the opposition far quicker than the first team does. They seem to have unlimited stamina.

I know and I agree totally. Me and Fordy came to this understanding when I mentioned it to him. (God he frustrates me sometimes when it comes to Arsenal! If only you could here what he says wether we are 4-0 up or if we 30-0 up it would make no difference....arrrrghhh/rant over)

It's just so good to see the hunger and passion there though. You see it with Chelsea and Pool now, so why can't we in our starting 11?

incredible performance, and some players that barring injuries will be fantastic when they hit their peak. In particular wilshere, ramsey, simpson, gibbs, vela and merida.

I was just wondering what you reckon the chances are of us hanging on to these players is? Right now I find it hard to tell (although I find it hard to believe Vela's going anywhere the man seems to be pretty happy  )

Wenger is stubborn as we all know! So I doubt any of them will be going anywhere soon....except loan perhaps..(although I hope not..)

Merida has disappointed me in a way, well perhaps it's not his fault...but wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing?

Did you see the Sky Sports interviewer?
He asked Wenger if he brought Wilshere off because 9:25pm is past his bedtime?

Just got back from the match - cracking game! From our position up at the top we really got a great birds eye view of the passing and movement of the players. Lead up to Simpsons second goal in particular was superb and Fabianskis save was awesome!

LOL Inch at them asking Wenger that about Wilshere! :)

Another fantastic performance from the young guns. Vela's goal was special and Fabianksi's double save was remarkable. Don't you just feel so old drooling about a team that is full of players that are younger than you?
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run
