I thought Denilso played well today. Broke up a few important counter attacks.

Wasn't as good in the Prem as he should've been either...

Yes there were two of them.
One was the beginning of a Manure counter attack which would've seen them rushing towards us with about 4 Manure players against two of ours.

Song played very well..he made some crucial interceptions and was good in our defence...

Agree with the first bit but not the second.

I don't see how we could have sold Reyes because he wasn't good enough. I loved to see him play, especially his first season. I read/heard the same about the weather too. He always wore gloves if I remember right too.

I still think it's a shame, because I think he could of turned out to be a very good player for us.

I was a busy little bee today so I didn't see any football or even read any match reports. Rather than pore over page after page...how did we do? Draw a fair result or what?

Draw was a fair result for sure, the Mancs didn't seem to be in the game that much, we contolled the play and possesion a little more but neither team was close to being that great.

My opinon....I exptected in a way to get our arse kicked. Especially when it came out RVP was alone again upfront.

We played some brilliant football to be honest, just didn't have a goalscorer. Man u seemed to want the draw from the start imo, so didn't push forward too much. Watching Gibbs against Ronaldo is a must see!

If we had tried to score, I would have said we should of won. But as it is, I'd say fair result to be honest.

Thanks lads and ladies. Like you trina I expected a bit of an arse kicking after the way things have gone the last few weeks, but I am pleasantly surprised even if they did win the title against us. (twas only a matter of time anyway)

OK, so the mancs won the title, but we actually played well today.

Fabianski was decent between the sticks, Gibbs had a very good game, Arsh was a monster til he came off, and we looked hungry.

I still think we're lacking going forward, although I think that's to do with the 5 man midfield, which doesn't work in terms of scoring goals (RVP drifted wide SO many times, leaving nobody up front!)

Also, and I know Fordy will have a field day on this, but the ref was pathetic today. Yellow cards for absolutely nothing, and he was totally sucked in by Ronaldo's play acting. When is someone going to put a gun to that slimy little bastard's head?
