Another great inning from the kiwi born stokes wish he was playing for New Zealand, more enjoyable innings to watch against Australia than his world cup heroics against NZ

Gotta give some credit to Jack Leach as well.

Great show of nerve for an 11th man.

Didn't watch yesterday due to work and I generally find Tests absolulutely dull and nothing that happened in this series before yesterday proved me wrong. Even the first half of stokes innings was shocking. But then he went to ODI mode and was awesome.

But World Cup one was better. World Cup over ashes every time.

Looks like it's all over barring an even bigger miracle than last test.

Cracking T20 game going on in SA currently. Amazing how different the various formats are and T20 is certainly great entertainment.

Yet talk to any MCC member and they'll tell you the opposite. Personally I like all forms but I do prefer T20. I don't think this new Hundred competition will work though.

One day isTHE best cricket, a nice mix between being patient and attacking, test cricket is to patien until 5 or 6 have fallent, 20;20 is to much all out atack and a fluke in whoever can win, good entertinment though.

The hundred is on terrestrial tv isn't it?

Tests for me have lost all entertainment value. You get days of boring cricket then cos of that boring cricket the last day is close and people think it's a great test.

Always found test cricket boring bar 05 , unless you are there as the TV doesn't do justice on how quick the bowling is at that level

Best test series was India v Australia 2000/01

India winning that from impossible positions.

I’m sure Test cricket will die out eventually, once the old codgers have popped their clogs!

They should limit overs in test innings to 50 overs.

Get the best of both worlds then

Twenty twenty and one day have world cups, the tests now don' reallyt mean enough to care about, surely over say a three month period once evry 4 years they could come up with a knockout world cup.
