They've got that world test championship bullshit going on which no one understands how it works.

Good to have some cricket back, even better this is being shown in NZ 34-1 English opener bowled shouldering arms, most embarrassing way for an opener to get out.

He had left a similar ball just before. This one nipped back. Looks like a two paced pitch. Not sure if its the conditions as well but it looks like it's one where you are never truly in.

They won the toss so must think it will flatten out after a session of movement? Would have draw written all over it apart from sides not being able to bat time in the long form of the game anymore

Not sure about this pitch getting better
Some are barely making it to the keeper while others are moving outside off on the rise. There probably will be a result for reasons you state.
Not sure I would want to go back to the days of boycott and Tavare but it does seem the art of grinding out an innings is very rare now.

I would have
Holding
Lillie
Hadlee
Before most of those
But if had to pick an order for them it would be
McGrath
Ambrose
Walsh
Wasim
War
Donald
And I would have warn before any spinner

Archer being an idiot. Thankfully just misses a test and not important limited over games

Sibley, 8 runs off 45 bloody balls.

Shocking. Tests continue to die.

Cracking test series this
Englands win stemmed from a great platform from sibley and stokes batting against his natural instincts allowing him to cut loose when we had runs behind us.
Time to go back to 5 match series v the west indies
Were it for the leap of faith alone that they showed in coming to isolate in country where covid was rife.it should be rewarded but also the fact they have a fantastic competitive team. Black lives matter slogans on shirts and knee bends are all well and good but the players getting a smaller percentage of a win bonus than the 32 grand a man England are on. And only recieving a small anount of the money generated by the tests is an insult. Im english... i want England to win the series.... but you cant clap with one hand with all the will in the world.. you need a team up the other end. This is a good one
