ODIs and T20s are in no way the benchmark of a player's abilities. All you need do is slog hence the introduction of Power Play. For a bowler you bowl a maximum of 10 overs. That's yer lot.
So I don't see how one-day or T20 can be measured against test match cricket.
They have nothing on the attributes required to play test match level.
Both forms of the shorter game are purely entertainment. That is why there is more money poured into them.
In fact I'd say this WC has been pretty poor in terms of quality matches, with the exception of a few. And the competition has gone on for too long.
But the entertainment level it provides for fans is great.

Exactly. You only have 10 overs to get it right. The pressure is immense. In Tests, you have as many overs as you want. Have a bad over? Doesnt matter. Have 30 more to make up for it. No such luck in limited over games.

Far tougher

You obviously don't understand the tactical nature of test cricket.

All i know its dull and not the way to get kids in to the game.

Anyway in to the last 5 overs of the SL innings. A batting powerplay and going well for them

238-5 off 47.2

274-6 off 50 overs

60 odd runs in the power play.

Advantage SL

But India have a great batting line up as well.

92 needed off 15 overs

India are in the driving seat with only 3 down.

Just need to hold their nerve
