Ashes 2010

Postby Gunner Down Under » Thu Nov 18, 2010 9:52 am

The lead up to one of the biggest events on the cricketing calendar begins, with England in red-hot form and Australia coming off a form slump.

I have to admit I'm a bit jittery about this series, that's all I'm going to say :)

Tonight is the night then.....

I'm tempted to stop up, but I think early bed, and just get up early in the morning and catch more of the action.

Looks like we are going in with 3 strike bowlers and Swann as the spinner.

Alright for some, but ozgooner (Adam) is actually going to be there.

Swann might as well be a strike bowler far as I'm concerned. He's defo England's most potent weapon with the ball.

Maybe so, but they choose the ball, and it won't be one we are used to.

Still, only 1½ hours to go now...... Let's hope that our Brisbane hoodoo is put to bed this time, I reckon it's over 20 years since we won there, maybe longer.

Separate post, anyone up all night, or anyone in Aus fancy keeping the thread up to date while England sleep?

I'll be up somewhere between 4 and 5 in the morning, and given that it starts our time at midnight, there's a few hours missing.

Thanks Adam, I knew you wouldn't let us down.

I'll be up for the first few hours. I'll try to keep it updated if I remember.

Just like to point out that EVERY England player sang the national anthem. Some in other sports should take lessons!
