Well done to England , you have outplayed us in every facet of the game . I never thought i'd see the day that we lost an Ashes series on home soil . Geez i was only 13 the last time we lost in Oz .

I just have to say I'm disappointed on Australia, I knew we didn't have too much of a chance but we were just woeful.

Let's hope we pick up some form in the ODIs. If not there's only 44 days until the NAB cup.

To be honest I saw we were in decline ever since we got beat by India a few years back on home soil, I think it was just after we beat England 5-0 in the Ashes.......

Ashes 2010

It's odd isn't it? Do you think there should be a system in place for when the series has been played but it's even? Seems a bit hollow retaining the Ashes if you don't win?

Or would people rather not f**k with tradition?

The tradition is that you have to BEAT the holders to regain the urn. You can defend it with a drawn series.

A draw to keep it 2-1 to England or an Aussie win for 2-2 wouldn't give a fair reflection of the series.

We need to set up a wind machine to make sure Mitchell Johnson can actually swing the ball.

Johnson and Hilfenhaus saved the day for the Aussies. Finished 280 all out after being 189-8 at one point.
