England limped through the day with the bat. Some stupid shots costing us. Each time we got a good partnership we threw a wicket away. Cook and Bells dismissals were atrocious.

still a chance we two decent batters at the crease that we can eek out a lead. Hopefully we don't capitulate early on the day as SA did yesterday.

273 all out then. Trail by 18.

Need to power through their top order to stand a chance.

I hear Bell and Collingwood are putting up a good rearguard action.
Only 33 overs to go- maximum.

I think Collingwood is great in these situations. Hope i don't jinx him. :S

They nearly have 100 partnership, look in full control, and *fingers crossed* we might scrape a draw from this one. 22 overs to hold out.

Colly is awsome in situations like this......You cant coach mental toughness like what he has!!! most underated batsman in the world!

What a result. Seems as though they're developing that teak-toughness.

Off subject, Prior is now becoming a liability and needs to be replaced immediatly by Foster, then make Keiswetter Fozzy's understudy!

Not that I know much about the gloves dept but I thought Prior had improved both keeping and batting?

For me, he has, but I'm also no expert on County gloves.

I am a gloveman and trust me, he is mediocre at very best......Foster is one of the very best keepers in the world and his batting has improved........5 6's in an over against Durham last season! Keiswetter is the future for England but he hasnt even qualified to play yet.....The team is carrying Prior now and he no longer warrents his place!

Interesting thoughts Damo.

I'd have made a great wicketkeeper if it was ok to stand back on the boundary..... On the other hand, I can read spin as that's what I throw down, so if it were all spin I'd be fine. (Predominantly RH leg spin but also LH off break as well, and I can bat either handedly as well)

Always knew you were from another planet Chris...;-)

My dad was a keeper so from a very young age it was trained into me.....to be honest it is mainly instinct now and i dont stand back at all.....it's a little different to batting as you read the ball off the pitch and never from the bowlers hand.....

Disaster day for England. 180 all out. Thankfully there is rain in Jo-berg saving further embarrassment.

Should have known when Strauss went first ball......
