No mention of this so far, but what are peoples views on The Indian Premier League.

And thoughts about it now being held in South Africa.

It seems all roads lead to SA, Confederations Cup, WC and now IPL.
England didn't stand a chance what with the weather and all that.
But, even more interestingly my mate who's married to a SA chick says another reason may have been that whilst there may have been squabbling for TV rights over here (Sky, C4, BBC, Setanta), there's was no such dilemma over there.
And as I said before, SA 'is the new black'.

Not a cricket fan myself, but good luck to them.

I know it maybe sounds a bit patronizing but I think its refreshing that a major big money sports event has been developed in India instead of Europe or America, and theyve now also found a solution to the security problem.

Me and Jen's team is the Mumbai Indians, me cos of Sachin her cos of Malinga and Bravo. She watches more cricket than anything else, think it's the West Indian thing.

I do like the 20/20 stuf better than the 5 dayer thing and the IPL is all rather exciting with the auctions and that. Minted.

Chris Gayle breaks T20 record by scoring 100 runs in 30 balls, whilst playing for Bangalore!

I saw that and well done to him but I am a bit annoyed that he broke a record for the fastest century which was previously held by a former player of my County,
