Paint or PaintNet? SGW gave me a link to download the latter, changed the say I view graphics.

But its still quite frustrating not having Photoshop though

I downloaded Paint.Net, I found it much worse than GIMP, I couldn't find the best techniques I used on GIMP. It doesn't matter about the program, it's the user that counts.

Paint.net is a very similar programme to Photoshop CS, obviously much more basic but the similarities are there & once you transfer or upgrade to photoshop then you will have already learnt quite a few of the techniques, how to cut, layer styles ect.
Photoshop all teh way for me.

GIMP i find terrible tbh, really dont like the programme.

Depends what you are using,

In photoshop On your final sig all you need to do for a basic border is add a 2pxl stroke & make sure its checked to INSIDE.
There are various ways of creating a border, if there were enough people who used photoshop here id draft up a tutorial.

Thanks, but I already found out! I used to use photoshop, just switched over to GIMP cause I reformated my PC and can't find the photoshop CD. >.>
