With 15 goals from a midfielder seems worth a punt to me.

I like him as a player, but don't think he's good enough for the team we should be. Then again, we're buying Tavares and Lokonga.

I don’t necessarily think he’s a ready made 1st teamer either, but he seems to score a few goals from midfield and that’s a rare skill so he’s worth a punt.

You’re right about Tavares and Lokonga as well, they aren’t 1st teamers either, if I had to take a punt for me he’d probably be ahead of the other two.

The Dutch guy seems to be a free kick specialist (seems to score a few) with a great passing range, Lokonga seems to be more of an all action midfielder (reminds me of Guendouzi), doesn’t look bad to be fair but IMO what we need right now is a creative midfielder as a priority, Lokonga and Koopmeiers are lower priority.

Most of his goals are penalties.

A few are free kicks and they’re generally hard to score.

You’re lucky if you score 1-2 free kicks in an entire season, I can’t remember too many from our entire team last season.

Anyway he does score a fair few penalties but I think he still scored about 9 goals from open play as well, which isn’t bad for a midfielder who is more defensive.

I think over 4 seasons he has scored 43, about 25-30 of which are penalties.
There are some free kicks in there -a few - but then how many has he missed? We don't get to see that.
From open play I think its c10 goals in 4 years.

To be fair - I didn't count them exactly..
Just watched this:

He scored 8 penalties last year from his 15 goals.
