He left Chelsea for that exact reason.

I agree he wouldn't come to sit on the bench, but he left chelsea because Lukaku came in so he would have been 3rd choice and they needed to make money back.

Roma striker Tammy Abraham would be the “perfect” signing for Arsenal, according to former Gunners midfielder Emmanuel Petit.

Abraham has thrived in Serie A since joining from Chelsea in a €40 million (£34m/$47m) deal last summer, scoring 23 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions.

With Mikel Arteta expected to be in the market for a frontman at the end of the season, the Spaniard has been urged to consider a move for in-form England international.

Striker isn't a position where we can afford to roll the dice like we have everywhere else.

Big money for proven quality. An Ozil, Alexis or Auba level signing is a must.

Otherwise whoever we buy will get pulled into the Arteta compactor program where their skills and abilities are crushed, flattened and molded into a malleable shape for the manager to create his 55 league goals/season game plan.

Tammy ain't it.

Arsenal are set to renew their interest in England striker Tammy Abraham, 24, this summer and will offer Roma £50m in an attempt to seal a deal. (Star Sunday)

Been brilliant in Italy. Might be worth a shot

EXACTLY.
Got to be very careful looking at goal records in these leagues.
He didn’t exactly shine for Chelsea despite getting loads of chances to cement himself as their starter.

He didn’t play for Everton, WBA or Man Utd.
?

Oh you mean Lukaku.
Forget him he’s a donkey. A £95m pound who wasn’t great for anyone he played for in England.

Lukaku isn’t playing in the right system, thats pretty clear, not a good fit for Chelsea.

Tuchel really hasn’t used him well.

Arsenal have been told they will have to pay around €80 million (£67m/$85m) to sign Tammy Abraham from Roma, according to Football.London.

The Gunners have the former Chelsea man on their list of possible targets this summer, though they are also in talks to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

We won't get any of the a list strikers

We have to shop for the Abraham's and Jesus's

If it's out of them 2, Abraham wins comfortably
