No Giroud is past it now - even more so than Neymar.
Both deadwood.

Just pointing out that for Arsenal Giroud and Auba are in the same category - decent but nothing special.
They'll both be remembered that way as it stands.
Auba has a chance to go out with a bang, but it's not looking good.

Going to Roma. £34m for Tammy, meanwhile we can't squeeze even £12m for Xhaka.

Now that they have got their priority signing sorted and on an installment payments plan to boot, then maybe, just maybe, even with a chance percentage in single figures, the deal for Xhaka could be revived along the lines of installment payments of €5M a year for the next four years with a sell-on clause of 25%. I'd shake hands on that.

The caveat of the sell-on clause might cause some serious head scratching and confused looks on faces, but is based on my belief that the slower pace of Serie A will suit Xhaka down to the ground evidenced by him looking more than twice the player we are accustomed to, in the much less frantic Swiss and German leagues as well as international football.

That being the case, him being pursued by the likes of a resurgent Juve, Milan or Inter in two to three years could become a real possibility. And no, I am not drunk nor has the cheese slid off my cracker as a result of the traumatic events of Friday the 13th.

Xhaka isn't going anywhere. Arteta is giving him a new deal until 2025 lol

We are stuck with steady eddie and balogun, hope Martinelli comes good may be time for a 4-4-2 and play pepe and Martinelli up front, because I think laca and auba are out the door

I was against this singing in the summer but when you see clubs like fiorentina demanding fees like 75M for Vlahovic and Isak then 35M for Abraham doesn’t seem so bad, we could have sold Xhaka to Roma then for the 15M and had a bigger budget for a top midfielder to replace him

Tammy Abraham’s exploits at Roma are seeing a return to England speculated on for the former Chelsea striker, but Gazzetta dello Sport claims that his current club have no intention of selling.

That stance is set to disappoint the likes of Arsenal, who have been heavily linked with a frontman that has hit 23 goals in all competitions this season.

Scoring in the same league that a 36 year old slow as mud Dzeko is still racking up the goals in.

Says it all really.

Dzeko is quality....

Wouldn't mind Abraham. Done well to change his career around. Of course if there's better available then go for them but we aren't even in the thought process for the likes of mbappe and haaland.

Plus Abraham is 47,000 times better than laca and Eddie.

The kind of striker we need in an Arteta team is Giroud. Big man in the box that wins headers and holds up play so wingers and mids can be passed to. Pace is clearly not that important.

Otherwise, we would be all over a pacy, young English striker with a good record in England and Italy.

Something just doesn't fill me with confidence when it comes to Tammy. He's maturing in Italy but I think he's more suited to that league.

Is he the man to drop deep, link up play etc. Not sure.

He's a good person to have in the box to stick away goals but we need something more. We need someone dynamic and someone that has different levels to his game.

i'd LOVE him as the #2 striker
