Say

Ramsdale £34m
Onana £7m
Leno - £23m
Net spend = £18m

Leno's valuation is missing a decimal point with Edu in charge. Also, Overmars has said we have not been in touch re: Onana. He wouldn't come here to play second fiddle to Ramsdale.

I was getting at Ramsdale playing first 10 games then Onana taking over.

Onana is a huge gamble anyway being a ped cheat (using the same old wife/girlfriend med mix up excuse that boxers & ufc fighters use when popped before/after fights), he might not be anywhere near as athletic anymore.

Arsenal are plotting to sign English goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale and Norway midfielder Sander Berge from Sheffield United, but a combined bid of £50m may not be enough to land the 23-year-old pair. (Star)

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Sheffield United, Football.London says.

The Gunners will pay an initial fee of £24 million ($33m) but bonuses could see the figure rise to £30m ($42m).

We're a bit stuck on this deal - everyone knows we need a back-up keeper - the options this late in the window are limited so Utd can just sit at 30m and wait for us to piss or get off the pot .... keepers last for years, so for a top flight club to be short a keeper a week before the season starts .... you have to wonder what the feck is going on.

I don't think the club knows what the feck they are doing, all this time to sort out a decent keeper and now it's panic time, the chuckle brothers are fecking useless.

It is a priority for Arteta to secure a new keeper a year after he sanctioned the sale of Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa, a deal that has come back to haunt Arsenal. Ain't that the truth, clown of a manager, Sheffield United want more than £30m for their number one. Joke.

Yep, just seen a similar Tweet. It's not looking good and Ramsdale was too expensive anyway. The reports of how much he would cost was already eye watering so no idea why they left it this late to pull the plug.

Even Sheffield are boying us up.

"negotiations broke down over the final fee, with the Blades unwilling to budge on their £32million asking price."

You know why, they were like "Oh its these mugs, add another 7m on there".

It’s sad because a few years ago we refused to spend a little extra on word class players like Suarez and now we overpay for average players like Pepe

LOL, this is after Matt Ryan is quoted as saying he wasn't on our shortlist. Would have cost £0 to sign him.

I pray we don’t sign this guy, would be more money wasted.
