I too think that he has that something about him to suggest that bubbling away just below the surface right now, is a player who will suddenly erupt with a haul of goals that tosses his cap into the ring in discussing the best strikers in Europe. That in itself is not dissimilar to when Adebayor rocked up with an at best moderate goalscoring record before showing the Premier League just how good he was. That performance against Spurs.... Goddamn, it was almost sexual!

Arsenal have earmarked Real Sociedad and Sweden's Alexander Isak, 22, and Lille and Canada's Jonathan David, 21 as possible options to bolster their strike force. (The Athletic - subscription required)

I was left very unimpressed by him when he played for Sweden in the Euros, he looked very ordinary.

Forgot he'd played with Odegaard.

Adebayor was great when Henry left, it was he not RVP that took over from Theirry.

There was a reason City came in for Ade.

As for Isak, lots of media outlets are saying we're in for him, I hope so, we need a proper profile CF to take advantage of all our wing play and crosses into the centre, I'm not the biggest fan of Giroud type target CF's unless they're like Lukaku or Drogba but for the way Arteta wants to play in the 4-2-3-1 we need one, Nketiah showed that final piece of our attack is someone who's great in the box.

I don't know how true these are but this is our priority position.

There are lots of rumours.
Worried if we sign this guy… doesn’t score enough goals. Will be even harder for him in the PL.

He doesn't look very strong for someone who is 6'4

I think his goal rate is about 1 in 3, which is less than Nketiah.
I agree he also doesn’t look particular strong.

Hes very skinny and not scored many this season which is a concern, although he will be cheaper than Vlahovic and DCL and has played with Ode

He looks quite tall. I don't think he'll be a push over despite his slim build. Snap him up. Young, has the pace, work rate, link play, can dribble and can finish.

This season he has scored 4 goals in 16 appearances (1,144 minutes) in La Liga. A goal every 286 minutes.

Not very encouraging.
