Daniel Ek (takeover bid)

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Not sure why anyone ever thought Stan would sell? Certainly not for current value anyway! He’d need to be made an offer he can’t refuse!

Didn't Dangote offer him silly money a while ago?

If fans are serious about getting him out, just don't go to matches, don't buy merchandise and maybe give up Sky. The latter less effective. If their pockets are being lined and it's business as usual, why will they even care? They barely know what's happening anyway. Hit the pocket, or the image massively, ie only away fans at grounds, that might make them sit up and take notice. It will be bad for a while, re team morale etc, but how bad is it going to get anyway?

We’re not serious though are we? We’re only here once and to try and manipulate the actions of billionaires is almost certainly doomed to failure.

Unfortunately, the average fan gets what they are given.

Just read Vieira's interview. They haven't got a plan. They haven't even discussed what roles vieira, henry and bergkamp would have. They talk about bringing players through rather than spending money.

It would be a disaster if he took over imo.

Did you read bergkamps interview? it was satisfying to read imo.

They don't have a plan for their roles, they aren't going to spend big money on transfers.

It sounds like they just want to go back to Wenger style mediocracy with running the club 'the right way' involving fans ownership and bringing players through the academy and aren't really worried about winning, assuming if they get the ownership right everything else will fall into place.

Other than an ownership model, they don't appear to have any plans for the footballing side of things. I find that very worrying!

We have already spend big money on transfers. Look where it brought us. We only got worse.
The club needs structural changes from top to bottom. Thats what they aim to provide.

The only plan is for the boardroom and even that is sketchy with some sort of unconfirmed supporter ownership. There are no other plans from what I have read. I am genuinely eorried thst they haven't thought things through at all!

I was thinking the same.

We don't want to be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

They have no track record to indicate they can turn the club around. All the talk so far is just that, talk.

No team in the PL has a good record of bringing in academy players because most aren't good enough. Villa spent £100m two years running just to make sure they stayed up.

Ek sounds like a small timer interested in a vanity project. He'd be better off buying Wrexham or some other tiny club like Ryan Reynolds did.

While this is true, our current management has PROVEN they cannot turn the club around. So yeah, at this stage I rather gamble.

We are going nowhere right now.
