Cocky little bastard imo

Doesn’t mean he’s not a decent player but sure we can find better. Main benefit would be his resale value being British.

He reminds me a bit of Nasri

Not as good by any means but I think we could do far worse in a pressing position

Grealish looks to be adding substance to his style, that goal at old Trafford was special.

Grealish would be an outstanding addition.

heres the situation. we finish in a europa league place. auba and laca both leave for £100m combined, our seasonal budget is around £60m (so add the £100m on top). whats your realistic shopping list?

(yeah obvs no team has a mass rehaul in one summer but just players who would come in)

Out

Lacazette & Auba: £100m (350k p/w freed)
Ozil: £5-10m (350k p/w freed)
Xhaka: £20m (140k p/w freed)
Mustafi: £15m (100k p/w freed)
Sokratis: £5m (100k p/w freed)
Mkhitaryan: £10m (200k p/w freed)
Elneny: £10m (60k p/w freed)
Kolasinac: £15m (120k p/w freed)

Total: £180m-175m - £1.4m p/w freed in wages

Incomings

Moussa Dembele: £45/50m (or Jovic)
Denis Zakaria: £35/40m
William Saliba: £30m - Already agreed
Jack Grealish: £30m
Xavi Quintilla: Free
Giorgian de Arrascaeta: £25m
Kevin Volland: £15m

Total (sans CB): £190m

Leno
Emi
Bellerin - ??? - Saliba - Tierney
AMN - D. Luiz/Mavro - Chambers/Holding - Quintilla
Zakaria - Torreira
Guendouzi - Willock
Pepe - de Arrascaeta - Grealish
Nelson - ESR - Martinelli
Dembele
Eddie/Volland

Imo we have to start a project again, it's the only way this club goes forward

I really struggled at a CB, all the options out there look diabolical. I quite like Tyrone Mings but even if Villa went down he'd still be outrageously expensive for what he is (given they spunked £25m on him in the summer)

Grealish is better out wide on the left and de Arrascaeta would be a huge gamble but is the ultimate hounding AM and can drop deep, though he is 5'8" and would be concerned with the lack fo height in the middle

its gonna be a really difficult summer, theres really not that much talent out there atm at the best ages (22-25)

Cos we sold them all lmao

I don’t think we ever had a period where Cesc, van Persie and Nasri all played with each other when they were at their best for us

Tbh in the 2000s Wenger had clout in getting young players, he was seen as a Messiah for young players.

We don't have that now, on top of that the inflation is ridiculous now, haarland would probably cost us 150m, whilst we earn far more than in Highbury, it doesn't add up to how much the oil clubs have inflated the market.

Even project youth will be difficult.

I’ve just heard that FFP could affect us during the Jan transfer, one of the reasons being Stan Kroenke has not invested any money in the club this season is that correct? If so am I correct in saying we can only use any money from sales to purchase new players?

Lacazette out, target man and left winger in.

2 x centre backs, RB, DM and CAM to rotate with Ozil.

I don't really care who as long as they are better than the crap we have in those positions.

Also end Ceballos's loan early if we can, hes been pants and hes not a no. 10

Obviously none are likely right now.
