Meh. Wenger would have benched Morata for Welbeck either way.

Lucky for Morata, he's at a club where winning matters and plays for a manager who's as good a coach as there is out there today.

If there is the slightliest Chance ,
I would go all in for Messi.
I know what you are tinking "this is bolocks blah blah"
What Could makeIt attractive for Messi:
He can Provehimself in the best Football League
Of course we need direct CL Quali disyear in order to challenge great teams
Someday mate, I don't know when
were gonna get to that first place
where we really want to go and well walk at highbury in the sun ,

but till then gooners like us , maybe we were born to run
come on now maybe we were born to run

gooners like us,
maybe we were born to run

I don't understand why people are having such high hopes on Lemar.
If either Ozil or Sanchez leave, we are a much weaker (on paper, on the field) team in any aspect. No need to say if we lose both.
Europa will be the standard, CL football is at high risk.
If they are gone, why would Lemar come?
Because he loves to play for Wenger/Arsenal?
Don't kid me.

nabil fekir, he's better and more productive than any other mf in the world right now. total megastar about to explode, pay anything!!! watch some lyon games, be amazed

then buy fabinho, hysaj and donnarumas backup, young italian gk plizzari. go spend! sure, they'll need to ease the youngsters into it, but net spend won't be high after they sell some and a year from now the first 11 can be

seri has some disgusting illness, needs to stay in warm weather or wounds appear all over his body or sth. gross. and griezball is an overrated, underproducing diva. goretzka practically unavailable. this proves my suggestions were better, deal with it

Imo, what needs to be done over the next two transfer windows:

If Ozil and Sanchez leaves:

Cech
(Martinez, Macey)
Bellerin RCB Koscielny Kolasinac
(RB/Jenkinson) (Mustafi/Chambers) (Monreal/Holding) (LB/Bramall)
Elneny
(Xhaka/Mertesacker)
RCM --- Cazorla
(Coquelin/Niles) --- (Ramsey/Wilshere)
RWF --- Lacazette --- LWF
(Nelson/Walcott) --- (Perez/Nketiah) --- (Iwobi/Welbeck)

Pecking Order
GK: Cech, Martinez, Macey, Ospina
RB: Bellerin, RB, Jenkinson
RCB: RCB, Mustafi, Chambers, Debuchy
LCB: Koscielny, Monreal, Holding, Bielik
LB: Kolasinac, LB, Bramall
CM/CB: Elneny, Xhaka, Mertesacker
RCM: RCM, Coquelin, Niles
LCM: Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, Jeff, Willock
RWF: RWF, Nelson, Walcott, Asano
LWF: LWF, Iwobi, Welbeck, Campbell
CF: Lacazette, Perez, Nketiah, Giroud, Akpom

If Ozil and Sanchez stays:

Cech
(Martinez, Macey)
Koscielny CB Monreal
(Mustafi/Debuchy) (Elneny/Mertesacker) (Holding/Bielik)
Bellerin --- RCM --- Cazorla --- Kolasinac
(RWB/Jenkinson) --- (Coquelin/Niles) --- (Ramsey/Xhaka) --- (LWB/Bramall)
Ozil --- Alexis
(Wilshere/Nelson) --- (Iwobi/Welbeck)
Lacazette
(Perez/Nketiah)

Pecking Order
GK: Cech, Martinez, Macey, Ospina
RCB: Koscielny, Mustafi, Debuchy, Chambers
CB/CM: CB, Elneny, Mertesacker
LCB: Monreal, Holding, Bielik
RWB: Bellerin, RWB, Jenkinson
RCM: RCM, Coquelin, Niles
LCM: Cazorla, Ramsey, Xhaka, Willock
LWB: Kolasinac, LWB, Bramall
RAM: Ozil, Wilshere, Nelson, Walcott, Asano
LAM: Alexis, Iwobi, Welbeck, Campbell, Jeff
CF: Lacazette, Perez, Nketiah, Giroud, Akpom

Ideally, I would have liked to have replaced more players with new players but considering the self-sustaining model, I tried to be more forgiving and see who we could keep and still get away with it. In the 1st case, we’d need at least 6 signings 4 of which must at least be starters. In the 2nd case, we’d need at least four signings two of which must at least be starters. I have some ideas of players I’d like to see come in but I’ll leave the scouting to the professionals. Here are the qualities I would like to see in the players filling each position though:

RCB: Good at heading, reads the game well, strong in one-on-ones and tackles, has leadership qualities, has above average pace, has above average ball control. Bonus: good distributor of the ball
CB: Good at heading, good distributor of the ball, reads the game well, strong in one-on-ones and tackles, has leadership qualities, has above average ball control. Bonus: has above average pace
2 FBs: good at crossing, rapid, reads the game well, strong in one-on-ones and tackles, above average with heading, above average ball control, has above average movement off the ball. Bonus: can score and can dribble
LCM: good ball hunter, has tons of energy, reads the game well, strong in one-on-ones and tackles, above average pace, above average ball control, above average movement off the ball, has good short passes. Bonus: good at heading and can contribute to goals regularly
2 WFs: at least one creative player, at least one good dribbler, both capable of pressing high up the pitch, both can contribute to goals regularly, both have above average pace, both have good ball control, both have good movement off the ball. Bonus: good strength and good at heading

For the pecking order, if any player is unhappy with playing time sell or loan out that player and move the next player in line up the list and if that player isn’t ready to be moved up, buy a replacement to fill the void
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

^Formation switches to 3 at the back whenever he starts. Its the only way I can see Mertesacker being useful going forward.

Also, decided to name all key players on the books regardless of whether they'll be here next season
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)

We really need to replace Cazorla. A player we can easily get of similar quality would be Jonathan Viera. He is basically a copy of cazorla and at 28 he is in his prime and ready for a top club imo

i think lanzini could be a decent bet tbh. quick feet in the middle of the pitch is something we lack drastically

i honestly think even when we lose alexis & ozil that there could still be a bright bit of hope surrounding the club providing the right players are brought in.

goretzka, lanzini, fekir, lemar etc, these type of players can enable us to play beautiful football once again
