We need to let Wilshere go and buy a top class CM who could compete with Ramsey rather than deputize for Ramsey. At least, we have CBs (once we sign Papasthathopoulou). In midfield, we're relying on Wilshere (who's injury-prone even if he stays) and Ramsey.

Blow whatever money we have on a CM, please.

Still only 22 though. He's strong, tall, direct, not slow, and has a bit of skill more specifically wrt dribbling. It's rare, imo, to find a player with all those attributes. If he can develop under a good manager he could turn out to be a special player

He's out of our league money wise. There's no way we put 350-500kpw on him.

He'd pick United over us simply for the spurs connection, let alone the higher wages, CL football and bigger chance at titles etc.

Aside from that, thst would be our whole budget on 1 player and he's really not good enough to paper over the multiple cracks we need filling like GK, CB, midfield a winger etc.
