I completely agree that if player pushes for a move then the price of that player goes lower and the wages also go lower ,but can u see a player pushing really for Arsenal at this point.It only happens for City/Pool atm cause they're at the top of the table and getting to CL finals constantly.

He wants to leave, it seems that much is certain. There isn't a bidding war, so City are just giving the price they want. The player asks the club to make it happen, discussions commence, everyone keeps it cordial and tries to get what's best for all parties.

£55m is currently for a player that City want to keep, and as far as they know, doesn't want to leave. I don't think it would really be a case of the player having to force the sale in a contentious way, more likely he'll just have to make the request.

Mahrez would be a top signing even at 31. He's a Right-sided attacker that could take Pepe's role and allow Saka to have more freedom to move the ball around and create chances.
