Alternatively, right back would be Max Arrons, Denis Zakaria or Wilf Ndidi for the defensive midfield position and Kai Havertz for the attacking midfielder.

Looks like a west ham team.

You're right, it doesn't look like an Arsenal team and will admit that I fashioned it more on the Ajax model.

I don't think we'll get a CB. I think we'll start with Saliba and Mari as first choice and keep two of Luiz, Sokratis, Holding and Chambers as back up.

I reckon, just like in the Wenger days, the bulk of our budget will go on a 'not really a CF, not really a winger, not really a CM' type like Coutinho.

I think we should have a midfield clear out and then go all out for Ruben Neves and Doucoure, they would give us everything we need in the middle.

We are missing a fast ball carrier like Freddie, Hleb or Walcott. We need to get one of them outlets down the flank types.

f**k Walcott could hardly kick a ball, all he had was speed now that he has lost that couple of yards of pace where is he ?,

---------------Aubameyang---------
J.David-----------Ozil---------Pepe
---------R.Neves--Doucoure-------
Tierney----Boly--Saliba--Bellerin
--------------------Leno-----------------

Not that expensive, not to much to ask, re sign Auba some how, get Saka and Martinelli on better contracts, take Kurzawa on a free and sell Kola, maybe consider flogging bellerin.

Would prefer Upa over Boly but hes gonna be expensive and everyone will want him

Would take any one of Partey, Doucoure or Zakaria

I'd like to see us gamble on Ezequiel Barco. If it clicks, we will have another smooth player on our hands. If not, we won't lose a whole lot of money.

Speaking of Argentines, what do you think of Pedro de la Vega and Cristian Ferreira as prospects?

Haven't followed de la Vega much, so can't say. But I'm not sure if he would develop into a top-quality forward unless he's a late bloomer.

As for Ferreira, he has the potential to become a good/great DLP. It depends on how he grows over the next few years. His performances are pretty mature for someone of his age. It's interesting that he's never been represented Argentina yet.

While I don't see either becoming world class, I think they could turn into consistent players.

Cheers. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing in Ferreira as a project.

I really want us to get Tyler Adams (bye Torreira) and Weston McKennie (bye Xhaka). But that's just the 'Murica in me wanting an American double pivot at a big club

Unlikely but...

Upamecano in £40m
Thomas Partey in swap with Laca
Mari signed full time £10m ish
Jovic (Loan with option to buy)
Willian free
Kurzawa free (shit but can clear Kolasinac's wage and get money from sale)
Cedric free (better than a kick in the balls and better than AMN whilst finances are restricted)

Out

Skhodran Mustafi £15m
Sokratis £12m
Lacazette swap for partey
Mavroponas £7m
Mkhytaryan loan until end of contract
Elneny loan until end of contract
Kolasinac £15m
Ainsley Maitland Niles £15m

Get Auba signed up, pay him what he wants until 2023 or just hold him until hes a free agent because £30m for him is worth it for 1 more year.

total spending about even

-------------------------Jovic-------------------------
Aubameyang-------Ozil--------Pepe/Willian
-------------------Partey--Guendozi--------------
Tierney----Upamecano--Saliba----Bellerin
---------------------------Leno-----------------------

Original Pirlo bigging up Sandro "Next Pirlo" Tonali.

We should get him while we can. In the next 18-24 months, his stock will skyrocket.
