Yestrday i talked with a good friend of mine

We came to the conclusion that the squad is not dat bad. We need a allround player like Messi and we would be 1 step away from top.

We currently have no wingers and are in desperate need of width. I think it's definitely something under appreciated, it stretches the play allowing space for attacking midfielders and strikers, with a winger you have someone that can actually cross the ball/has the pace to get to the byline and come in.

If you look at Man city and Liverpool teams that are actually in form and getting results they both have amazing wingers in mane/salah and sane/sterling.

welbeck is not a winger, iwobi is not a winger, auba/Laca are strikers so shouldn't be played on the wing, Mhki is the closest thing we actually have to a winger. We have sold Alexis, Walcott, chamberlain 3 pacey wingers and not replaced them with one.

Honestly the next manager shouldn’t worry about buying any attackers or attacking midfielders. Lemar would be a decent player to get no doubt but he would be too expensive and if the rumors about next seasons budget is true, we gotta spend where we need the most, and that’s defense and goalie. I think we will definitely need one CB at least (Maybe a 2nd because I don’t believe Mavrapranos and Holding are ready to be regular starters yet). A defensive midfielder who can cover for players like Xhaka and Ramsey so they have more freedom to roam upfield. A goalie (I think one of Cech or Ospina are gonna leave) preferably a young goalie who is decent and has plenty of potential to build into a great goalie, split time with whatever goalie doesn’t leave. Generally I think all the players we buy should be young the club is now in a rebuilding phase I think if we were to go out and spend millions on players who are past their prime that’d maybe work for a season or two and steady the ship but after that we would need to rebuild. I like Meyer a lot, he’s fallen out with the Schalke hiearchy and that would make him cheaper, I believe that he’d be one of the best value for talent signings we could make this summer. I like Evans as a rotation player and since West Brom are relegated he’ll want to leave and the club aren’t gonna have much of a say in that, also making him cheaper. But if we were to sign him I’d also like to see them sign a younger defender as well. As far as goalies Timo Horn is a great shout, Koln just got relegated he could be a cheap transfer. Alban Lafont from Toulouse has shown he’s got a high ceiling for potential, has 12 clean sheets while the team is currently in relegation playoffs spot and is only 19. We won’t be able to get ahold of Butland, I think Liverpool will beat us to his signature if they are truley interested in him. But he’d also be a great signing as well.

As much as I don't think Seri is the right man for our midfield because of his lack of strength and defensive skills, it would be pretty exciting to see him and Lemar add to our creativity, even if we have to sacrifice Wilshere, for Seri to be able to do his thing we would need a solid no nonsense DM alongside him who can run, so that rules out William Carvalho. who is a sideways move with Xhaka imo.


Maybe we will cash in on Ramsey.

We may need to hold on to Mustafi because we have no fit defenders, Elneny could cover either of those midfielders, sell Xhaka and keep 1 of Wilshere/Ramsey.

I am ok with miky-auba-lacazet forward 3. Given that ozil is gonna play, we need a sharp dm and a b2b midfielder with good work rate. Ramsey and wilshere should stay with us for good rotation.
