Has enormous physical potential. Very, very strong and quick CB; on this aspect he's right up there with Konaté and Upamecano.

The problem is that many of this type of defenders tend to rely too much on their physical prowess and don't develop much from a tactical/decision-making point of view.

Progress isn't linear and all that but from what I've seen of Kossounou, he's much more composed and consistent than Koulibaly was at Genk when he was the same age.

Think Yago supports Brugge so he's not restricted to the odd game and weekly highlights and should be able to provide a more in-depth analysis of the player.

He's looking very good and still young, but it's not like we're lacking in the CB department. No need to buy yet another one.

IIRC, he finished first on sprint tests conducted by Brugge at the Belfius Basecamp. Impressive given that he was up against players like Emmanuel Dennis, Krépin Diatta, Loïs Openda and Clinton Mata.

Eh maybe he was at some point? Definitely playing CB for Club Brugge (his passing is quite nice tho)

He has just one senior-level appearance at DM for Brugge in their 1-0 defeat to Gent back in December.

Never heard of him but he sounds like my type of player. Could he be converted to a DM next to Partey? Or could he be what Saliba should have been?

Hope not

Kossounou prevalently plays as centre back and excels in his tackling: his long limbs and the excellent timing of his interventions gives him one of the highest tackle success ratios in Europe.

BBC f***ked up. He's a CB.
