Ryan Bertrand

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Agreed, means we can spend the big money on RB and CM for the starting XI.

Can’t Edu find us some young Brazilian live wire that could push Tierney instead?

Would you trust a young Brazilian who will play in a lot of games given Tierney will be out for a while?

Tierney himself is young. Having experienced cover is the right thing.

I'm never a fan of signing a player to be a backup for another player.

Even if its that or seeing Xhaka at LB again?

Obviously I would prefer a real left back over Xhaka. Still would prefer a player that is actually competition for the current players.
You just know Betrand will get his 70k to 90k contract on a 3 year deal and he will be happy with that.

Other big clubs rarely make signings like that while we seemingly do it every transfer windows since Wenger left.

His best position on the pitch ironically.

Actually not bad if he's just here to cover. Tierney is undisputed number one but he will also be unavailable for a period of time in the season so this guy can fill in without it affecting us too much and comes with decent experience in pl and Europe.
It's just lb Cedric and he's been alright to fill in at rb whenever called on.

So this 32yo will be our number 1 LB when our actual number 1 LB is unavailable, which Tierney tends to be for roughly half the season.

He's been out a month half this season. Didn't realise that's the equivalent to half the season now.
