I reckon Aarons is quality as well, he was the stand out player when we played Norwich

Tottenham and Arsenal are ready to rekindle their interest in Brighton right-back Tariq Lamptey, reports Express Sport.

The 21-year-old has only recently returned to action following a long-term injury, but he has attracted plenty of admiring glances in the past and is being lined up as a top target for Antonio Conte and Mikel Arteta.

Don’t need a RB, unless he’s happy to be a back up.

Unless Cedric is leaving why do we need Lamptey when we have Tomi?

......... even if he was, as said already, all funds need to go to landing that striker.

We are not Man City we can’t afford to spending 40M+ on backup fullbacks

In that my missus swears that I had a bit of a restless night last week, tossing and turning and mumbling 'f***ing Mustafi', I am definitely all for only having 25 really good players in our 25 man squad. To this end, I believe Tariq Lamptey does fit the bill but more as a back up to Saka at right wing as opposed to Tomiyasu at right back, although the thought of having both Lamptey and Saka coming at you down the right flank would only scare the klu klux klan more than left sided defenders.

for 50 m its not worth it imo but if like the abvoe poster said we switch to 3-4-3 then maybe i could see it but i think arteta prefers his 4-2-3-1

The more I see of this fella the more I would love to see him in tandem with Saka as an attacking entity operating down the right flank. Admittedly though and whilst half decent, I don't think his defensive prowess is quite up to scratch or of a level in-keeping with what he offers going forward, and in having been reminded of what a good quality right back actually looks like by Tomi T, the ideal would be a morphing of the two together.

Similar considerations have been drawn with regards to Trent at Scouse land while I'm also put in mind of a fledgling Gareth Bale who we noted but didn't scoop up along with Walcott because we felt we had enough cover already, which worked out well.
