Just once, I'd like us to go for the obvious signing and make this happen.

Arsenal are leading the race to sign Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, 24, with Tottenham, West Ham and Everton also having made enquiries. (Express)

Unless he's creative, no thanks.

Then let’s not go for him, we don’t need more players who think they’re better than they are. He should be keeping his head down and keep working his ass off for Brighton (btw he was nothing before them) and if a good bid comes in they should be fair and accept it.

Players asking to leave after 2 season or less at a club have the wrong attitude imo.

Would walk into our team. He and Partey would be a good pairing.

Rather get someone far more creative than him

We can still get him . We just need to have our priorities straight this year. Not waiting till the last day on the transfer window like last season to get a player with a release clause hoping to get him 5-10M cheaper ending up costing us pre season with the player etc.
We just need to operate quickly and decisively. Bissouma is amazing fit forArsenal. People say we need creative midfielder which is true to some extend ,but we what we need more is 1 more defensive midfielder that can allow our fullbacks to play more open and push the ball quicker up the field.

P.S. The only downside is we have already Elneny and Partey two players that are going to the African Cup of Nations.IF we add Bissouma we would have like 3 out of 4 midfielders going to that for a month.

.............. and there was me thinking we had a chance.

Oh well, drawing board time.

But remember we're a big club that any player would want to come to? :dontknow:
