What's happened to Gooney ?

Can we send him to Norwich for a full scout report. Buendia and Aarons. £30m take it or leave it ?

Watched some clips of him, he def has an eye for a pass, puts in lots of through balls.

I'd say for the price we could get him for which Sutton is saying £30m so I'd say a deal could be done at £25-£28m then we should get him.

That will leave him and ESR to play the CAM role which is decent.

In the state we're in there's no way we're going to get the stars, not without a nose bleed on wages and I think we've made way too many bad errors in judgement to do any more of that.

I'm fed up of these older named "stars" anyway, it seems all they're doing is milking our bank account, we need hungry players and a 24 yr old talented CAM playing in the Championship is likely to have just the right attitude and competitiveness we're looking for.

Daniel Farke is confident that Norwich can keep hold of Emiliano Buendia despite interest from Arsenal.

The Gunners have scouted the Argentine extensively, but Farke says he has no plans to sell in January.

Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Argentine Emi Buendia but have yet to make a formal offer for the 24-year-old Norwich midfielder. (Football London)

Arsenal are investigating a possible player-plus-cash deal for Buendia, to try and persuade Norwich to sell the highly-rated midfielder, with 21-year-old English midfielders Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson among the players they are prepared to offer the Canaries. (Independent)

He was shit last season. No thanks

£12m + Willock = Great business.

Willock is never going to make it at AFC from what I'm seeing and we are desperate for a CAM to rotate with ESR.

This is the cheapest bit of business we can do for a player of similar quality.

Makes perfect sense for Norwich as they don’t necessarily lose a squad player, they gain Willock and can also invest £12mil.

We don't need to sell Willock to get this guy. We should just stop being cheap and buy him for a price that allows those mother f***ers to get a replacement

Willock's been garbage and he's going to play even less with both ESR and Buendia coming into the first team rotation... It makes perfect sense to ship him out.

These 'chuck in a player' deals are why we can't get anything done until deadline day.

I think we are effectively playing a premier League privilege card by valuing these two unproven academy graduates beyond the more realistic nominal fees they should command of between £500K and £1M with Nelson's having scope to justify £2M possibly given the international recognition factor.

Both would benefit massively from being immersed into real life football and finding out just how good they really are when judged by the game itself and not just by coaches and friends opinions and truly earn their apprenticeship as such, much like the likes of Buendia, Grealish, Mount, Maddison, Cantwell, Abraham, Bellingham, Philips, Ings, Adams and Watkins have all had to do.

That we are pursuing a player who should be hungry to prove to himself just how far he's capable of taking his talent to and recognises the opportunity that has presented itself for what it is, is what excites me and draws a parallel to a 20 year old Patrick Viera in Milan having honey trickled into his ear by David Dein.

All great teams have to start to evolve from somewhere, someone or something and in that we have components like Magalhaes', Partey, Leno, Tierney, Saka, Martinelli and Smith-Rowe from which to formulate the foundation of a good strong competitive team, additions like a Buendia, Lamptey or a Bissouma will help bring forth the glittering rewards of having a Pepe, Aubameyang and Lacazzette.

The time of speculating and conjecture governed by rumour mongering and board room politics to deflect the club's lack of a clear vision, plan and decisive action to take, in order to instead smokescreen the actual inactions of the club, must now be accepted for what they are and no longer allowed to stymie the progressive development of the team when we are not so far away from having one to genuinely contest the argument for honours amongst Liverpool, City, Chelsea and United.

This guy is an average Joe. Basically at the Willock level.
