seems unrealistic, why would we get both? Only reason to go back in for Raya would be the HG factor and if their price has reduced.

i think we want him as our long term number 2, in the article it states that brentford are more willing to let him go if we loa him back for the season

so maybe we agree a future fee mostly paid next season, loan him back for this one, then he takes over the reigns as the number 2 for the future

we just needed a proper number 2 for cheap this eyar hence the icelandic bloke?

maybe but i still don't think spunking 10m on a backup keeper is good value for money so hopefully closer to the 5m mark with the loan back being used to knock the price down a bit.

Hey I mean if he signs I hope he becomes the premier leagues best keeper lol. But honestly to sell Martinez for like 15-20mil and then signed 2 backups for the same amount? Makes absolutely no sense. What am I missing? Someone please explain.

Don’t waste money on a backup keeper, is he even that great I mean he’s 25 not a youngster, if he’s that good other clubs would have surely been interested in him.

I don’t think we should waste money on a keeper, but if we absolutely had to it would be on a young keeper who’s potentially great like Chelsea did with Courtois not a 25 year old.

Face 7 penalties. Only dived the wrong way on 6. Bring him home.

Arsenal are, according to The Sun, ready to shelve their interest in Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.

Mikel Arteta is eager to add another shot-stopper to his ranks, but he will not be launching a raid on the Championship during the winter window.

Spain goalkeeper David Raya, 26, says he is "happy" at Brentford amid interest from Arsenal and Everton. (Cadena Ser - in Spanish)

Been impressive

This would be an odd move, he’ll be looking to play regularly surely, are we going to have the keepers competing for the number 1 spot or even bring in Raya as number 1?

He's a great keeper, one of Brentford's top players last season. I'm frankly shocked that we're in for him, but happy nonetheless. This is exactly who we need to give Ramsdale competition. Maybe Arteta sees that Ramsdale has some deficiiencies that need work?

No offense to Turner, but a handful of LC and EL games isn't enough to be a rotational option in the CL or FA Cup. He's 27 and could do with a loan.

That's our number 1 keeper sorted

It'll raise ramsdale game to keep the position and Raya won't want to sit on the bench

Decent if true. This has been an obvious problem if ramsdale can’t play.
