Don't panic it'll never happen.

Never heard of him.
We're going to be linked with the world and his dog over the next few months.
I'm going to post an interview with AW in which he'll put the record straight.

The Metz manager has compared him to Platini and Zidane but then he is trying to sell him I suppose...

'17 years old' seems to be the flavour of this season's transfer speculations. :D

Pjanic: I almost signed for Arsenal instead of Roma

The Bosnian midfielder revealed he was close to joining the Gunners from Lyon on transfer deadline day in August 2011, but his father had already promised him to the Italian club

Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has revealed he was close to joining Arsenal two years ago, but a vow from his father prompted his move to Italy.

The playmaker moved to Rome from Lyon on transfer deadline day in August 2011 and has become an influential figure at the Stadio Olimpico, but revealed he came within an inch of signing for the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger had agreed to pay €11 million (£9.5m) for the 23-year-old, who admits he had agreed a deal at the Emirates Stadium only to decide to heed a promise made by his father to the Giallorossi.

“I had a number of offers at the time and I was set to join Arsenal,” he told Avaz Sport. “I had agreed all of the conditions that had been put into place.

“However, my father had given his word to Roma and therefore I opted to sign for the Giallorossi instead.”

What do you guys think? Would this have been a good or bad signing had we bought him in 2011? Anyone pissed that we missed out on him?

I don't know much about him myself but I hear good things about him

From my point of view he has already been very successful at Arsenal. Starred in a great attacking side along with Marcello, Bojan and Pedro.

FM of course. It was years ago but he was an absolute beast.

I was pissed when we didn't sign him. He reminded me of Cesc. Looked very promising at Metz.

Yes please.

I'd prefer Pjanic over Cabaye or Gourcuff.
