Liverpool weren't smart with coutinho though, it was a ridiculous offer that no club would turn down. People need to stop using it as an example of squad building tbh, they did well with the money but it rarely happens.

If we can get Edouard in for less than what we get for Laca then i'm for it as well, but not signing another striker wouldn't make sense at all for me.

True, but how they invested the money was absolutely correct. They've managed to sell a number of their average players for good money as well (Ibe, Ward, etc).

If we can get Edouard for 22.5m, it would be a good deal.
We'd basically replace Laca with him and have money left over PLUS potential resale value on Edouard.
