The smart move to have made was insist that following his injury, agent Tierney spent some time convalescing back in Glasgow, and ended up staying at the home of his close friend Odesonne Edouard after his hotel mysteriously caught fire.

Leicester are leading the race for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, though Arsenal, Newcastle and Aston Villa are also keen on the 23-year-old Frenchman. (Daily Record)

Only got 20+ once in the league once for Celtic

18 this year

For Celtic....a team that dominates every game they play.

That's pretty shit. Should be hitting late 20s at least.

But Leicester want him and their scouts are awesome. Bring him home

Yep - get him in.
Has the physical attributes to play in the PL IMO.

Have to say his record is underwhelming seeing as he’s playing in Scotland where the top players score for fun.

The Times are reporting that he has chosen Leicester 'over Arsenal'.

Arsenal have begun work on a deal to sign Rúben Neves from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Portugal midfielder is one of a trio of high-value players who the Chinese-owned club have made available for transfer this summer as they seek to raise funds to refresh their squad under the incoming manager Bruno Lage.

At the same time, however, Arsenal appear to have lost the race to sign Odsonne Édouard from Celtic. The coveted 23-year-old, who has averaged more than a goal per game for France Under-21, is understood to prefer a reunion at at Leicester City with Brendan Rodgers, who signed him for Celtic from Paris Saint-Germain for a club-record fee of over £8million in 2018.

As said above, in 2 minds about this.

He's not very good if you look at his record in a shit league but Leicester want him and i trust their scouts more than ours.

He might improve in England but could be the next Gary hooper.

Apprently going to Leicester as he prefers to play for Rogers.

With Arteta we’ll struggle to bring anybody in as who is going to want to play for this nobody whose best is 8th place.

It’s not missing out of Eduouard that concerns me, it’s the way players are preferring to go to clubs like Villa and Leicester now, our appears as a big club is really on the wane.

This club just never understands the bigger picture of employing an unknown and then keeping him on when he performs so poorly.

Well Leicester have European football and a manager he's familiar with so wouldn't be a surprise if he chose them. They are currently better than us so it's pretty simple, we'd have to pay higher wages.

This Villa thing is hilarious though.

I don't think we were seriously considering him. Laca offers more, and I have a sneaking suspicion that we'll extend his deal before the summer is up.

That’s true but there was a time when it was no competition, it’s now like we’re back in the late 80s/early 90s where players would turn their nose up at us.

The Kroenkes are ruining this club.

I wish people would see through these kind of articles, we can't sign every player in the world, some players we and other clubs have looked at at one time or another will go to other clubs, cue the articles saying club x missed out. They had the exact same article when Pepe came to us saying man u missed out and he chose us, it's not all one way.

Agree - the media articles seem to be about how he 'prefers' Leicester, but there is no indication that we were even in for him.
It's like saying he prefers Leicester to Man City.
After Buendia the media will be doing this for every player they SAY we wanted but went somewhere else, as opposed to reporting on who they know we are actually in the market for (which they know sod all about).

Leicester are the only PL club he's been linked with. We did miss out on Buendia, but there's nothing to indicate we were ever after Edouard.

Very good players, that wasn’t the point though, the point was when competing for a player with other clubs we’d often miss out because we weren’t very appealing as a club back then.
