Problem is this domino is embedded in concrete.

Nobody has any money save Chelsea is seems.

Spurs are not spending, City are not spending, Liverpool are not spending. Even Barca can't afford 25m for Bellerin.

Everyone wants to do trades or loans. Lyon will have to come down but will get done. Partey is a dead deal I suspect.

Silly rumours flying about that he was spotted in Sopwell House at some point in the last week (the place where our players stay when they sign contracts etc)

Absolute bullshit but thought it’s worth a share for the hype train

Once Torreira and Martinez are finalised we'll have the money for Partey.

Once they go if nothing moves on this front soon seeing as he has a fixed release clause, then we're not in for him.

so from what ive read

- atleti want torreira on loan with an option to buy as a replacement for hector herrera, not thomas
- thomas wants to move to arsenal, and in his current contract has a £45m release clause
- arsenal have communicated to atleti that we do not intend to pay his release clause (as we have a good relationship?)
- if we do not sign thomas he isnt agitating for a move and will just sign a new contract, which will see his release clause inevitably double
- atleti only want the cash & release clause, they're not interested in a torreira + cash deal

seems like a stalemate to me unless we decide to f**k them over and pay the RC

Isn't that guy who broke these tidbits an Atleti mouthpiece?

I don't think we are interested in Partey for a lump sum fee. In fact, I doubt we'd be signing Aouar too.

We need to stump out around £30m for Aouar. It won't work like Pepe's deal.

Plus, the deals we've pulled off so far this summer have all been initiated by Raul.

Ngl I would love to f**k Atleti over by activating his release clause 2 hours before the window closes

Sadly I don’t think that’s how clubs can conduct themselves these days

we should buy partey then and sell torreira to someone else

Arsenal will include Torreira in a deal to sign Atletico's Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey, 27. (El Gol - in Spanish)

How reliable is El Gol?

The Standard reported that Atletico rejected a swap and wanted all cash so fk knows what's happening with this.

Going to be a long window.
