Boubakary Soumaré

Postby Rastayouth » Tue Jan 07, 2020 6:59 pm

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all chasing Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare, who is likely to be sold this month, Sky Sports News has been told.

Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Valencia are also said to be interested in the France U21 international, who was signed from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer by Lille's highly-rated sporting director Luis Campos.

A deal could be done in the next week to 10 days, although Lille would prefer to keep him until after their Ligue 1 home game against PSG on January 26 if they can.

Soumare, who has two-and-a-half years left on his Lille contract, is a box-to-box midfielder in the mould of Paul Pogba and has impressed across 23 appearances in all competitions this season, including six in the Champions League.

Foly Huck, this guy is quick. Seems to be a good ball carrier too, which suggests he has a high action radius.

Looks decent but would relegate Torreira to the bench because he’s still not gonna replace Xhaka.

This guy looks class, great on the ball, quick and powerful. He's exactly the type of profile we should be looking at.

Imagine a Torreira, Soumare and Ozil midfield.

He's got tremendously quick feet for a central midfielder. I'd be stoked if we signed this guy.

Him, Upcameno and Saliba we'd have a powerful French spine again!

Would love to get this guy.

Can't defend well though. Still raw.

Looks great on YouTube. Strong in the tackle, quick on the turn, good burst and able to play final balls. Like a fit Diaby.

So ............ we're not a creche, we're trying to win things here.

If Willock wants a career at Arsenal then he needs to skill up, we've wasted far too much time tip toeing around our youngsters and not focusing on bringing players who can help us win.

DG. I haven't been all that impressed with Willock lately. maybe i'm being too harsh since he's young, but as a late sub you'd expect more energy and when he came on there's hardly any of it. the potential's there, but like ESR tends to ghost a bit.
cheers!
