Getting this guy could finally get rid of Xhaka.

His game looks very much like Xhaka's - thing is without the mistakes, Xhaka would be a very good player.
If we sign this guy, hopefully he doesn't have the same mistakes in him and we could get the DM we need.

As if Xhaka's role is under any threat

Our only hope of ever dumping him before 2024 is if Mourinho comes back in for him for a much bigger offer than what his performances merit.

Yes, if we buy anyone it will be as a replacement to Partey and Elneny going off to the ACON.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, but Standard Sport claims that they now face serious competition for the Brazilian’s signature.

Premier League rivals Everton and Newcastle are said to have joined the Gunners in the hunt for a highly-rated South American.

That is ridiculously cheap if true. Do they know it's Arsenal that's inquiring?

Of course we should reject it. He plays for Lyon in France so obviously doesn’t have the requisite experience and quality for the premier league.

Lyon have reportedly accepted a bid of around £30 million from Newcastle United for Bruno Guimaraes, sparking explosions of rage among Arsenal fans.

Guimaraes has been on Gunners' radar for some time, but it looks like they're going to be beaten to the punch by Eddie Howe's wealthy relegation-battlers.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a a move to the Premier League in the past few months after impressing in Ligue 1 since arriving at Lyon from Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense two years ago.

"Our club is so shameless in the transfer market," tweeted one Arsenal fan.

A second wrote: "We are interested in signing every player but we end up signing nobody Bruno, Locatelli, Isak etc... We should be renamed Interested FC."
