Never happening. When was the last time they got a top coach in the world? The closest they got is mourinho who is well in on a decline and even though he could have shit housed a league cup for them, levy shat it at the mere thought of lifting it few days before the final.

Conte is extremely competitive and would have asked for 200-300 mill to reshape thay squad coz it's garbage and levy would have baulked at that and ran. He would have guaranteed them trophies in next 2-3 years but perennial bottlers will always show their true worth.

Wish we went for him and backed him. He would have instantly got all of us to tune back in next season even without Europe.

Not sure what kind of project Conte wanted, but all he had to do for next season is win Conference League. He can do that even with a shit Spurs team.

It just doesn't get mentioned a lot coz they sell fairly well, whilst we let all our big players leave on a fukin free.

Exactly. Spurs spent £130m on Ndombele and Lo Celso in 2019. Their performances make Pepe's price tag look like a bargain.

Thank f**k the deal fell through.

Appaz Levy wouldn't promise Conte that he'd reinvest the Kane money back into the squad if he were sold.

Spurs youth players aren't in the England NT. They're mostly shit.

if spurs got conte i would have been seriously worried

but that tight arse didnt wanna give one of the best in the world a few mil more in salary + a decent transfer budget, yet gave old man jose money to burn :rofll:

daniel levy, we want you to stay!

They won't get Conte, but I'm reading that they're bringing in a Juve exec to be DoF.

Things are bad at Spurs internally; they should have hired a new manager by now, but understandably with Kane probably leaving, top candidates want to see proof that the club is heading in the right direction. A well known DoF is a big step towards that.

There are now two very clear camps. The first is clubs where the owners have an agenda to win and back it with money. The top managers only want to go there. They are looking for league titles within 2-3 years, not some decade long project. The others are clubs like ours and Spurs where the owners want to turn over a buck. The managers available to them are those seeking to make a name for themselves. Conte is in the former camp. Spurs should be looking for someone like Nuno.

Its just sad that the clown will drag the club down further before they get rid of him.

If we start poorly, that's another season wasted with us finishing midtable. We are approximately where Aston Villa are, performance wise, but heading in opposite directions. It was fine margins between 8th and 11th for most of the season.

It's possible the club will react to the loss of ESL money by appointing someone that can definitively get us back in Top 6 or Top 4, to make up part of the shortfall. Plenty of time to talk to other candidates quietly while everyone's focused on Euro 2020
