Available Managers

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Arteta is following much the same trajectory as Emery did towards the end.

- Tinkering constantly with the lineup due to injuries

- Playing 3 up top to fit in Pepe/Willian, pushing Aubameyang way out wide

- All chance creation responsibilities handed to fullbacks and wingers because the midfield is awful

The difference is that Arteta has brought some discipline to the defense. But on the other hand he made the attack too regimented. With Emery we shipped too many goals too often, but the attack was solid despite the lack of creation in midfield.

It never works that way. The new manager will need to deal with the reality of good players leaving and poor players staying, and not getting your targets in the transfer market.

Arteta is unique in the sense that he got 2 out of 3 of his handpicked targets this summer. Even Wenger rarely got more than one top pick a year. When we got Ozil, we also got Sanogo. With Alexis, we also got Welbeck.

What I mean is the wage bill is cleared, the disruptive influences have gone and the last of Wenger's mess is clearing. Ozil is a massive cloud over any manager's head, play him and you're playing with ten and a half men, leave him out and you'll be asked about it after every poor performance. Was an issue for both Emery and Arteta.

I think if Arteta can survive until the summer he'll be successful, I'm just not sure the fans will give him that long.

Are we attractive enough to get a manager from another club to take charge?

We could do worse than the Wolves manager.

We're a mid table side so we're not going to attract big names.

$tan won’t pony up enough cash to get anyone worth a crap to come in and right the ship.

Leonardo Jardim is also available.

Touted by many on here before his car crash of a season at Monaco.

If we're gonna play this sort of shit football and this is the vision we might as well call Allardyce. Do it properly.

Jokes aside... Allegri, Poch, Jardim...the talent pool keeps on getting smaller and we keep on picking the worst of the options.

We should have gone with Allergri or Rodgers first time round but instead we went with Emery.

Second chance...Ancelotti, Allegri, Poch, Rodgers, Mourinho....nope. We roll the dice on Arteta.

I said from the off Arteta was a mistake, we took a risk and its blown up in our faces.

I actually thought the players wouldn't play for him being a rookie, but that's not been the problem, they have played for him.

The issue has been this guy doesn't actually know what he's doing tactically and has got desperate and is basically Emery MkII.

Get someone in who has a philosophy that suits this squad ffs, nobody at AFC know's what their doing which is why the players keep giving up.

4 formations in 2-3 weeks from this idiot, no consistency, no identity, the fact that he went back to this style of play AGAIN today when its not worked for us once this season.

The man needed to earn his wings, we're stuck with an amatuer.
