I have one question .......... is this another loan deal?

Because if its a buy for the figures banded around £28m+ then how are we getting Tierny or whomever.

Budget practically gone.

how will he get a work permit? barring rare cases like Gabriel Jesus who went straight from Brazil to England, south American players nearly always come to the PL having previously obtained EU work permits through La Liga or Serie A teams.

He's an established Brazil international - nearly always enough to obtain a "special talent" work permit.

You need to score 4, sometimes 5 points through the criteria set up by the FA.

In Everton's case;

+1 point → Has featured in more than 30% of Grêmio's games during the Copa Libertatores in the last 12 months.
+1 point → Has featured in more than 30% playing for a 'Top League' side (= Highest division in Brazil).

That's already 1 point of Part A and 1 point of Part B of the criteria set up by the FA.

*A lot of the criteria that yields the most points (either 2 or 3 each) is transfer fee -and salary-related. Information we're currently not privy to.

Here's a feasible example -
+3 points → If the salary paid to the player is above the 75th percentile of the top 30 earners at each Premier League.

That'd make a total of 5 points, 4 (by reference) to Part A criteria and 1 point from (by reference) to the Part B criteria.

That'd be 1 more point than is required and there are several other ways to 'score' points, so it's not by any means an impossible task to achieve.

Following recent foreign talents that have played in the league, a fee above 15million pounds, recent national team appearances, and from a team in the top division in a top tier league is good enough if you don't have an EU passport.

....just an oversimplified summary of how the system works imo.

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal

true, his NT credentials will help a lot in getting him a WP. hopefully the club is serious about making this happen.

Best video I've found of him, only released 3 weeks ago. Unlike other compilations, this video also focuses on his general play (e.g. passing range, work ethic, spatial awareness etc).

You'll see he's comfortable at dropping deep to instigate attacks, whether through dribbling, by spraying passes, or both.

Is this guy not a left winger?, if so how will that work with Laca and Auba, cos if Auba has to play right he will be on the wrong foot and score less.

His assist count is likely to increase, which would balance everything out. It'd also be easier for him to support Lacazette as he gets to use his stronger foot to provide crosses.

Also worth noting that Aubameyang has 3 times more experience playing on the right flank than he does on the left. In fact, PEA, before moving to Arsenal, barely had any career experience playing on the LHS.

    Left Wing
    2.529 minutes
    16 goals
    4 assists
    = 1 goal contribution every 126,45 minutes
    Right Wing
    7.813 minutes
    41 goals
    22 assists
    = 1 goal contribution every 124,02 minutes

No one ever pays full amount in one go. The initial reported sum is what the club's agree to transfer then the rest are add-ons that are paid based on certain criterias being met.

In this case the 28 million would be paid like 10 million this year, 10 million next year and 8 the following. It's not all 28 million in one go.
So out of the reported 45 million budget, we'd only lose 10 leaving us with 35 million to play with this window.
