Bring it on, would absolutely love another project youth
I feel like we get project youths every summer though? No? Just seems like this has always been a complaint on here, that we always just buy kids.
We have/had quite an old core. Cech, Nacho, Kos, Sokratis, Ozil, Micki, Laca, Auba - all above or near 30
Players primes arent 27-30 anymore, it’s 23-26
Seemed like when I joined this forum we had too young of a team, but that was 10 years ago. So yea we are a bit long in the tooth.
The key is to always buy youth while still getting the right players to fill in immediately. But of course most youth players don't live up to their potential or hype and really never make it to the big stage or at least don't stay consistent enough to stay there.
There is a difference though.
We had youth from our youth team back then and the aim was to take a £4m youth or one for free and make them better.
What we're doing now is quite different, we're buying young players with good money £10's of millions and buying players already displaying high level of talent ......... who don't need to develop talent as they already have it they just haven't hit their prime yet.
