As the German U20 keeper, he could have some potential. Wouldn't mind him as a third keeper on a free transfer

If you are going to gamble on a keeper, German keeper would be a pretty good bet.

I agree. Plenty decent keepers have come out of Germany recently, Leno, Neuer, Ter-Stegen, Trapp, Burki etc.

(Neuer not so recent obviously)

Understand Arsenal were very confident of signing him, however in the end the player has decided to join Schalke.

Personal terms were agreed and was set to feature as third choice keeper to Leno / Martinez. However post-meeting with manager Unai Emery, the player has opted to join Schalke.

Yep, my sources confirm this story. Apparently he though Wenger was still in charge, but after finding out it's Emery, he decided he wasn't ready for such a step up in his career and needed more time to prepare for such an elite level coach. Shame as he is a humble bloke, but if he keeps his head down and keeps working hard, i could see him having a bright future and even possibly playing for Emery one day, but he's simply not on that level yet.
