It’s the deals we need to be doing

We’re not gonna be buying top tier ready made any time soon

Don't really understand spending fairly big on a AM/WF prodigy while we already have the likes of Nelson, Smith-Rowe and Saka on our books. Especially considering we are in dire need of a proven RM/RAM. Even though our budget is limited, 22-25 is an age category we should be looking at, not u21.

He looks silky as f**k on the ball, but that's against ligue 2 opposition.

I'm hoping he's one of those players off of mislinstats list that was photocopied and saved on our server.

Going off YouTube clips of course, but man has some fast feet, sick close control and great acceleration.

He also has a great passing range along the floor and his ball striking is everything you wished iwobi had.

This is an extended vid of some of his 14 goals and 3 assists this season.

He looks over 6ft as well PG.

Also, the difference between this kid and some of the other names you mentioned is that he's played a full season in a competitive league (even if it is lower).

Most of the competition in his position have had the odd appearance with us and played in the reserves league which imo isn't the same as ie championship level imo.

Might be worth a punt and if he's mature enough, him being 20 years old may not even be a problem...

Arsenal are close to signing Claude Maurice after breakthrough in talks between both clubs. Arsenal have offered close to £18m (including add one). Player should soon join Arsenal

.@GFFN along with @MohamedTERParis with an update on Claude Maurice:

- Arsenal second bid worth €16m was rejected Lorient.

-The player is understood to have agreed provisional terms with the Arsenal.

-Contrary to reports no deal is close/done

Report also says Arsenal 3rd bid is imminent so we can assume a deal will be done in the next couple of days.

We desperately need to shore up our defense. Yet majority of the close-to-being-finalized transfers are for attacking players.. I don't get this club. If you've got money to burn, sure, go crazy. But when you're on a shoe-string budget, prioritize!

Kid looks to be something. Better to get him now if we want him than wait another year and have to fight bigger clubs.

If this guy comes in Iwobi should be sold to recoup the funds.

True but with selling Chambers, Jenko, losing Ramsey, Welbeck, probably loaning out Nketiah, i don't think we can, our homegrown quota is going to be super tight.

Yeh I just think if we want to go with two wingers we need two at least Cus Mkhi gotta go and I’ve seen enough of Iwobi starting too. Claude Maurice, and then a big boy winger signing would be nice.

Got a bad feeling this will be our winger, judging on the price, its being quoted around 25m on rumour sites.

I don't think we will get another wide player if we get him.

Apparently we agreed to personal terms already. Seems solid.
