Reports tonight that Arsenal have made a €12m plus add-ons offer for Gremio CB (who plays for Gremio of Brazil) Walter Kannemann. Walter was called up for the Argentinian national team recently.

CB who can cover LB. Cheaper alternative to Tagliafico? Replacement for Monreal? Probably an Edu recommendation.

28 years old and from the Brazilian league....adapting to the pace and physicality of Premier League might take some time. Also, if Emery can't organise and coach the current Arsenal defenders to stop making silly blunders and they have years of Premier League experience, I can't see why this particular player would adapt quicker to Emery's ideas.

Should be looking in the Premier League for our CB.

Back up LCB to fill one of these gaps:

I know Ozil needs to be in the first team and Xhaka in the second though.

Would be a laughable signing. Doesn’t show a club preparing for a title charge.

People need to get this notation outta there head right away. This is not gonna happen. We should be closing the gap on 3rd n 4th. 1n2 is for the mega rich. This looks like a typical poor signing. Svens presence will felt with the crop of signings this summer vs the torreria guendozi signings last yr.

If emery truly wants to play his style. We need to replace ozil with an elite winger and also replace Ramsey in the middle. These are gonna be hard asks ... We react as club and do it late. Never on forfront anymore.

We are NOT preparing for title charge anytime in the near future and possibly for a long time.

Let’s be honest. None of us have any clue if this guy is any good. So if we end up signin him let’s just actually watch him play before judging.

I have been optimisic in the past but a 28 yr old who plays in South America. Let's not be too naive here. Absolute abomination.

And they usually do well at clubs like Atletico, not in the PL. Language skills are incredibly important when defending, that's partly why Gabriel Paulista was sold.

Although with a name like Walter Kanneman he might know enough German to work with Mustafi and Leno lool
