Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are monitoring the situation of Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Danish 22-year-old has appeared in 27 of the Serie A side's 28 league games this season, missing out only in the away defeat to Juventus through suspension.

Juve, Inter and AC Milan are also said to be admirers of Andersen.

Giampaolo wants AC Milan to sign Praet and Anderse, but they are aware of Arsenals interest in the duo. The 50 million price tag is also a stumbling block for AC Milan. Milan will try to do a cash+player swap deal or try to sell players to get the money. -

According to @pbsportswriter Arsenal insist they have not made any bids for Sampdoria’s Praet & Andersen. And Arsenal not impressed by figure of £44m quoted by the Italian club who are not in a hurry to sell and want to appoint a manager first

We definitely need a ball playing defender to rotate with Holding, we need it for our system, but we need a proper no nonsense big CB to rotate with Sokratis also.

If Anderson is coming in, we won't be in for Umtiti or Upamecano, there is only so many of that style you can have.

Not basing this off any knowledge of the player, but strategically, it might be better because well and up getting boxed out of umtiti and upamencano on price and might end up with f**k all or bums like mustafi for extortionate prices.

Umtiti is injury prone and overhyped because of Barca.

Upamencano is being looked at by loads of clubs so will demand a massive fee....

Upamecampo worries me as i watched him vs Dortmund and he was trying to dribble out of his box over and over and caused a mistake leading to a goal, but thats all i have seen of him really, Anderson is a extremley good ball player, and the only ones we have is Holding and Monreal who can play that role but is way past his prime, i think Poostafi was signed for that role but hes appalling.

We don’t need CBS, we’ve got Saliba and Mavropanos as options on top of Gabriel and Mari.

Let’s not waste money on others, wouldn’t surprise me if we went for one though, Arteta loves the defensive game and doesn’t seem to want to use the options we have on loan.
