From what I saw of him last season I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Is there any point in this one? I mean hes cheap and English which is a double bonus, but is he not Burnleys 3rd choice? we may as well just use Emi or keep Ospina to save money, both are on quite high wages for players who do not play, so maybe sell both of them and buy this guy? I'd personally give Emi the nod as second choice, then Macey as third and sell Ospina and put the money into areas that are much more important, ie Winger, CB, RB, B2B midfielder.

He sounds pretty good but if he cant force his way into the Burnley side with Joe Hart in goal what hope does he have here?

I reckon we could get a combined 8-10m for Emi and Ospina if the guy is worth it.

Would not mind him and Leno competing for the #1 shirt.

Almost every manager has his favourites. Iwobi and Mkhi play ahead of Özil. Is Mesut worse? For sure not.
Pope is surely better than Hart and would make a very good number 2 here. We also need to keep the HG quota, so a win win situation for us.

Nick Pope got injured and was unfortunate that Tom Heaton, his deputy, has become one of the stand-out performers in the Premier League this season.

I doubt 'favorites' is the reason he is third choice, but hey if you guys say hes good, lets take him, like i said we will get 7-10m for Emi and Ospina combined and 60k off the wage bill, so why not.

Not a world beater and doubt he ever will be. That said, he's easily better than Joe Hart who has been error-prone for God knows how many years.

I'm guessing that we would need Emi and this guy next season to be comfortable, but whether Emi would accept another season as 3rd choice is a different matter, we always have Macey also, we may actually be really well off for home grown next season if this deal happens, with Nelson and Chambers coming back.
