Surprised there's no thread on this guy already. Thought we had been linked before.

Anyway, this would be a quality signing if Sven could pull this one off.

Similar to Xhaka but higher ceiling. Somehow I don’t see him making as many errors as the Swiss but I don’t think hes really needed. Would rather we get a more robust midfielder like Ndombele or Doucoure. Or someone with good technique and vision like Fornals.

Liked Weigl a couple of years back but think his mobility isn’t great. Might as well just keep Xhaka

Perhaps we could do a straight swap with Dortmund between him and Xhaka. Favre has already worked successfully with Xhaka during their Gladbach days. Might be good for all parties.

He is going to Benfica for 20M€.

Fantastic player, legit would take him in heartbeat to our midfield. Especially for that price.
