According to Marca we're interested in RCD Espanyol center back Mario Hermoso who has been one of the revelations in La Liga this season.

Left footed, stands 6' tall and allegedly extraordinary quick. Figure of £35m is mentioned.

Its like they've gone on championship manager and searched for centre backs who can also cover left back! Tagliafico, Kannemann, now this guy!

Good player

Think I’d prefer Saliba purely for the physical potential but I’m happy with the age profile we’re targeting

CB is his preferred position but does have over 30 games LL2 and UEFA YL worth of experience as LB.

Would make sense given his age, mobility and versatility.

Allegedly Real Madrid triggered his buy-back clause of €7m, but he indicated he had no intentions of rejoining them any time soon - game time concerns.

Could that change now with Ramos leaving? Seems like a big opportunity for him.
